This sermon convinced me to go back to church! If Doug was my pastor I would be much more inclined. It's hard finding a good local pastor. But, thank God there are so many Wonderful pastors online. Preach on pastor Doug!
God led me to try to revive our church by promoting prayer and giving prayer resources to every family and so on, but the only people who attended or read the books, etc. were those who were already alive. Shortly thereafter, God started impressing my husband and me to plant a new church in our city (we currently drive 30 minutes to go to church). In the meantime, attending our old congregation feels oppressive to me. I'm thinking it's because God has called us to plant a home church to reach our neighborhood and we haven't yet (its been about 2 years). Please pray we step out in faith and answer His call. It's just hard for my husband to step away from our old church, and I can't take that step without him at the head, because he's my husband.
Thank you I needed to hear this message. Happy Sabbath.
