"Scripturally," Cain is not the son of Adam. Cain is conspicuously absent when Adam's genaeology is listed later in the Bible. When Eve gives birth to Cain, she says she has "gotten a man from the angel of the Lord." Most important are the words of Jesus in John 8:44–where Jesus says flat out that the Kenites trying to kill him are "of your father the devil." How plain can it be? This is not a parable or symbolic language. Jesus was speaking directly to specific individuals, the Kenites, and referred directly of specific individuals–Cain and the Devil.Jesus continues, "and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it." Here Jesus addresses the members of the Sanhedrin, the Kenites, descendants of Cain, and Jesus gives their genaeology as from "a murderer from the beginning" (from Cain, that first murderer) and the father of lies (the Devil).

The Norse talk about the Aesir, sky gods and the Vanir or the earth gods as well as the Jotun or giants and that they all interbred. An example would be Loki's (loki means fire) wife Angriboda (Distress-bringer) who was the mother of Hel. Hel rules Nifleheim, the Viking hell which bears remarkable similarity to Sheol. Also interesting is that Loki is the father of jormungander, the world serpent, and Fenrir the wolf. Loki also takes the form of a mare and is the mother of Odin's eight legged horse Sleipnir (glider). The reson why we have coffin bearers at funerals is a representation of Odin's horse that could carry him between worlds. The Gregorian calendar names many of the days of our week after the norse pantheon, along with the sun, moon and Saturn.
