In the mid 80’s Royce Gracie and I both took our first lessons in Gracie Jujitsu from Rorian Gracie. I spend many hours clinging to Royce on the mat in a gym built into Rorian’s garage in Torrance. I eventually moved on and moved to Northern Ca. Imagine my surprise when watching Joe Rogan a couple years ago and learning that Royce became a world champion fighter. Especially since I actually won some grapples with him. I am both honored and super proud of him. We both had major respect for Rorian who gave me my first dozen lessons alone before he suggested teaching Royce and I at the same time because we were at the same level.

Bad is just so pleasant to hear talk. He’s always laughing and smiling, and has great anecdotes.
