I have a question. I heard a promise from God. It was something I wasnt specifically thinking about but something similar. Then I just heard a voice in my head that I didnt expect when I asked God to talk to me. Then he gave me a promise of a future gift. Ive learned that the devil can only influence my thoughts. If this promise was my own made up thought than it would be the devil influencing my thoughts to think this or me trying to hear what I want to hear to glorify myself and my desires. I dont think that the devil was leading me to think that because I was just being silent and waiting for a voice and I just heard a voice while I was making sure I didnt make up a voice myself. I even heard another promise very related to the first and it was what I wanted based on God leading me to this thing before, but I coudnt have thought this endulging in my desires and glorifying my wants because it was promised that something would happen sooner than I planned to act on it. I planned to wait to act myself before I heard this because I was scared to act too soon and fail. This promise is something Ive asked God to allow his will to work instead of me choosing my will and then I heard this. I dont know if my question was clear but to summerize, I heard a promise from God and I dont feel I was endulging in my desires because I was willing to hear Gods will in the situation. And I dont see how the devil could have lead me to think that with how I waited on the holy spirit to talk to me
