Jude did NOT quote from the "the Book of Enoch", for the "the Book of Enoch" is an apocryphal book, that was written probably sometime during the 2nd/1st centuries B.C.E. Rather, Jude was an "inspired of God" Bible writer (2 Tim 3:16), that was directed by God's holy spirit to write down what Enoch said at Jude 14, 15.
Enoch (born 3404 B.C.E., died 3039 B.C.E., Gen 5:21-24) was one who condemned his generation and because he did not waver in his condemnation of the wickedness around him, that included the materializing of angels as men in order to have sexual relations with women and fathered the Nephilim (Gen 6:1-4; Jude 6, 7), he became "a prime target" by those who "wanted to see him dead".
As a result, God, whose name is Jehovah (Isa 12:2, KJV), "took him" (Gen 5:24), so that "by faith Enoch was transferred so as to not see death" or a violent death at the hands of his enemies, "and he was nowhere to be found because God had transferred him" from life to death by possibly putting him into a deep sleep and bringing about his death "quietly", "for before he was transferred (from life to death quietly) he received the witness that he had pleased God well."(Heb 11:5)
Jehovah God was pleased with Enoch's firm stand for "the truth", for exposing the wicked behavior of everyone, in which after Abel, Enoch is the only the person that exercised faith in Jehovah God, that covered a period of almost 1,000 years.(see Heb 11:4, 5)
Because Jesus exposed the Jewish religious system as "wicked and adulterous" (Matt 12:39), he became "a prime target" of the Jewish religious leaders, who "wanted to see him dead", to silence him.(Matt 21:37-39; Mark 3:6; John 19:6, 15)
And today, because the symbolic "woman's offspring" (Gen 3:15), exposes the treacherousness and wickedness of Satan's "world", they are "a prime target" by their enemies, who "wants to see them dead". At Revelation 12:17, it says:
"So the dragon became enraged at the woman (see also Isa 54:1, Gal 4:26, 27; Rev 12:1-6) and went off to wage war with the remaining ones of her offspring, who observe the commandments of God and have the work of bearing witness concerning Jesus."
