I think antidepressants and antianxiety drugs need to be a last resort. Simply because they are so hard to get off of and alot of people are stuck on them for life with bad side effects like emotional blunting/emotional numbing.

You take SSIs long enough then your brain gets used to them. If you stop, you're going to have adverse effects because your brain basically has to reboot. You go without long enough, tough it out, and you'll return to normal. SSIs are not the solution long term. It sure makes a bunch of doctors and executives money, though. That being said they can be helpful short term.
