Pretty much every newspaper that looked into studies found little to no evidence that protests spread the virus.
As a new zealander. The rest of the world has handled this virus terribly
"No country has handled corona worse". There are several European countries with higher infection and mortality rates per capita. Poorer countries in South America and South East Asia can't afford/don't have the manufacturing required for adequate testing, so their true numbers are not known. And then you have China, who claimed they got to 80,000 cases and then the disease magically vanished. Considering this is the same country that tried to cover up the outbreak for months, didn't stop flights out of China after knowing about the outbreak, and generally did its best to obfuscate the facts in the early days of covid, that can be taken with a huge grain of salt. Considering they have a very good motive to lie about it, and considering their regime has a long history of lying and covering up bad events…. Then you have the strange outliers like South Korea, who never had a government mandated shutdown, yet have one of the lowest per capita infection and mortality rates, despite being a very densely populated country.
In addition to all that, you have people who died of chronic heart conditions and the like who also happened to contract covid being added to the death total for covid. And then even more, you have the media trying to scare people with the total infected numbers (which mean nothing, every new SINGLE case results in a "NEW RECORD HIGH, MORE AT 11" headline) instead of using the rate at which people are currently being infected as their metric for the progression of the pandemic.
So no, the US has not handled corona the worst. Though I could see how one might come to that conclusion if all you read about covid are headlines saying the total of cases hit a new record. No fucking shit, every time you add 1 case its a new record, but they say it like it signifies the end of the world.
I love the irony of Joe saying "the U.S. is the worst at handling the pandemic" as he's spewing bullshit from his platform. How many times has this ape said "masks are for pussies"? You realize how impressionable some of your listeners are? I'm starting to get tired of Rogan's whole schtick.
