I discovered Siddiq when I stumbled on his standup about ‘being pleasant’. It’s incredible how he bridges gaps between realities/perception using humor. Having experienced 6 years of incarceration early in life, his keen self-awareness, the ability to hold himself accountable above all else in spite of all the excuses he could so easily use and doesn’t, makes him easily relatable as well as respectable…. He’s an extraordinary voice that is much needed today.
So glad Ali was destroying excuses!! Accountability is everything! Our young men are brilliant kings; gotta hold kings accountable for choices. You can’t control how or where you were raised, but you can seek out and choose to pursue better.
