To understand what happened at the transfiguration one has to have full understanding of God's Plan of Redemption. Moses and Elijah were the human names given to the two Heavenly Princes whom He trusted with His life while on earth. These two had been closely involved with the execution God's Plan from it's inception. It was their job to ensure that everything went to timetable including ensuring that the crucifixion occurred exactly as planned. Christ, with their assistance and that of many other Heavenly beings, had overseen God's Plan right up until it was time for Him to undergo preparation for incarnation on earth. It was important that these two highly trusted beings ensured the progress of the Plan from the time Christ's spiritual body was transformed into the tiny form necessary to incarnate into the physical body as it emerged from the womb at birth through to the time when He reached maturity and understanding of His Mission.From that point onwards Jesu's communion with His Father and other invisible companions who accompanied Him from day to day became fogged due to the human filters every person living on earth has to endure.
The transfiguration occurred at the climax of Jesu's mission when it became necessary to appraise the human Jesus of last minute details pertaining to the events that were about to occur. They certainly did not meet to discuss the weather or the state of the Roman economy. It was also a suitable occasion to strengthen the faith of these three most important disciples to reinforce them for what was soon to occur.
Christ didn’t have to meat anyone. Moses and Elijah who both did not die and were transfigured had to accept Christ as their savior. Just as all of us and those who passed before Christ crucified.
Father is fair, if you had no chance in the flesh to accept Christ you will have your opportunity in the spirit to do so.
